I have a very “shy” singing-voice, which can vanish easily, especially the high notes. I was convinced as a child and growing up, that I couldn’t sing at all. However the wish to sing was very strong and I have done quite a lot of voice-work over the years. I discovered when trying to sing the high notes during “Taize singing”, my heart opened and my spirit soared, but the fear that it would be “wrong” or ugly remained. So I decided to be brave and work with Clare. It’s been a rich experience, and discovery, to find how much more voice there was in me. Clare’s sensitivity, empathy and sense of humour have helped a lot. Singing from the heart and feel the spirit soar is wonderful!
