I explore Nature’s inherent aliveness and my relationship to it. This mutuality in relationship locates me. I exist as part of a delicate balance of coherence and dependency. Within nuanced folds of subtlety and urgency, we gaze into life’s personal myths that emerge as form, light, and motion. Sometimes hidden, somehow felt, I know myself when I know Nature. Our vulnerability is palpable – our dependency on her is total. The work reveals the shock of her profoundly intelligent, yet vulnerable, beauty. The still point of seeing and being seen is what I seek to share with you – belonging realised. For me it is unfathomable that anyone might miss these bold whispers of invitation calling us forth into relationship. As I witness some of our natural connections dying, I panic at this loss of our natural beauty, our diverse ways of knowing, loss of the wild places… and I call forth our restoration of self, of care. Let us notice these precious, living, landscapes as they breathe us into being. I have a need to touch in you our shared ability to see and feel life, to notice… what we notice, we belong to.
